The very relaxed atmosphere made you feel very much at home. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy. Close to countryside for NT Gibside Hall but also close to city centre for shopping or the Sage.
Dislikes:
The accommodation was lovely but the humidity made the bedroom very hot. Apart from keeping the curtains closed during the day with windows open there's not a lot hosts can do about the weather.

It was quiet so that we could sleep very well. The full English breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh fruit was an extra treat.
