The big roaring fire that greeted us on arrival!

Only slight problem was with the person upstairs getting up at 6.30am! The ceiling/floor seem to be very thin.

"Excellent 1 night stay"
We booked a 1 night stay as we were spending the day and night in Chichester. Shopping in the day and a meal and drinks in the evening. Check-in was excellent, staff member who checked us in was very attentive and overall the staff were amazing. We didn't really spend much time in the pub other than 1 drink although the atmosphere in the pub was great. We had a large room which was great, the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was also yummy.

The George and Dragon is very central to all amenities and, as the rooms are behind the pub, they are very quiet. Food throughout the day was freshly cooked and excellent. Great power shower too.

The atmosphere in the George & Dragon bar is welcoming and hearty. There are three open fires to keep everyone toasty in the winter months, while in the summer, large front doors open out onto the street. The George & Dragon has plenty of sofas to kick back on and there is also seating in the heated courtyard garden, which includes a covered smoking area for those who enjoy a cigarette with their drink.

The dining room at the George & Dragon in Chichester is something special. Diners enjoy uncomplicated, full-flavoured food in the light and airy space of the conservatory, which has large double doors that open out onto the decked courtyard for alfresco dining in the warmer months.

The dining room at the George & Dragon has a dynamic, modern menu that includes regularly changing specials and seasonal British ingredients from local sources. As well as lunch and dinner, it also serves one of the best breakfasts in town. Bar meals are also available for a lighter lunch or a more informal bite to eat.

There are many attractions and lots of things to do in the nearby area, including museums, golf, galleries and a castle.
