Likes:
The staff were super friendly and helpful, by far the best thing about the place. Great atmosphere, informal and relaxed.
Dislikes:
There was a lot of mildew in in the shower.
Some of the food was delicious, but some was not so great.
Staff were bleaching the floor as we ate breakfast - not a pleasant smell whilst you're eating

"Needs attention from owners but still recommended"
Have stayed here on a number of ocassions in the past. It is a superb location to explore the city or attend the theatre. Unfortunately the rooms are beginning to look shabby and need some TLC, it's not major stuff, fresh coat of paint here and there, more attention to bathrooms which are showing signs of use and damp. In one of our rooms only two lightbulbs were working out of a strip of five so like I say not massive issues. The rooms bedding towels etc are clean. Read less
Likes:
The breakfast is excellent, large portions, good quality food. The staff are friendly and helpful. The price compares favourably to others in the locality. No stupid two night rule
Dislikes:
Only issues mentioned above. I will still cautiously recommend below as long as future guests don't go into a frenzy over chipped paint

The atmosphere in the George & Dragon bar is welcoming and hearty. There are three open fires to keep everyone toasty in the winter months, while in the summer, large front doors open out onto the street. The George & Dragon has plenty of sofas to kick back on and there is also seating in the heated courtyard garden, which includes a covered smoking area for those who enjoy a cigarette with their drink.

The dining room at the George & Dragon in Chichester is something special. Diners enjoy uncomplicated, full-flavoured food in the light and airy space of the conservatory, which has large double doors that open out onto the decked courtyard for alfresco dining in the warmer months.

The dining room at the George & Dragon has a dynamic, modern menu that includes regularly changing specials and seasonal British ingredients from local sources. As well as lunch and dinner, it also serves one of the best breakfasts in town. Bar meals are also available for a lighter lunch or a more informal bite to eat.

There are many attractions and lots of things to do in the nearby area, including museums, golf, galleries and a castle.
