"Perfect tranquil escape by the sea"
We were personally welcomed by Jules and John on arrival which was lovely. We were shown around the house and to our rooms, very light, bright, peaceful and clean. We were then personally welcomed by the gorgeous Sassy and Tula (two very well-behaved and friendly black labs, who came out of their part of the house when we asked to see them!). We were then left to settle in before enjoying the rest of the afternoon and evening at the beach and nearby pub which was all nearby on foot. Read less

Derwent House is situated in the Conservation Area of the Climping Gap, the last undeveloped stretch of coastline between Brighton and Bognor Regis.

The West Beach Sand Dunes are an area of Special Scientific Interest with rare plants and birds. Climping Street is a no-through road giving access only to the Beach (1/2 mile), the prestigious Bailiffscourt Hotel, a renowned venue for weddings, and the Black Horse Inn, a traditional Pub/Restaurant, just two minutes walk down the lane.

Guests will find a warm, friendly welcome from Jon and Julia to their country home where they offer quality bed and breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere where their guests can escape from the pressures of the outside world and discover the calm of the country and seaside.
