We are a family run bed and breakfast close to amenities and London Gatwick airport being 10 minutes drive from us, yet we are situated within and exclusive idyllic private estate,set in our own 3 acre woodland garden. Booked online as a convenient place to stay after a long tiring day in Kent. Slept well and awoke to look out over the big garden and parkland. Finding this place was a stroke of good fortune and I will certainly recommend it to friends, especially if they need B&B before an early flight from Gatwick as well as economical off-airport parking. The setting is lovely, the room comfortable and the people very outgoing and friendly. A short, but thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. Read less

Delightful location, surprisingly quiet considering the airport. The planes usually take off the other side of Gatwick, it seems. Friendly people, comfy room with all working and a great breakfast.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub bei Mrs. Sally verbracht. Wir wollten die Tage nutzen um London zu besuchen. Wir sind mit dem Auto nach Brixton gefahren, haben dort einen Parkplatz gesucht und sind dann mit der Underground nach London City gefahren. Da die Unterkunft sehr central lang, ca 45 min. nach London, ca. 45 min. nach Brigthon (zum baden) und ca. 1 Std 15 min. nach Dover haben wir uns alles anschauen können. Read less

Mrs. Sally ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit,für einen kleinen Plausch immer zu haben. Wir haben das beste englische Frühstück erhalten und jeden Tag frische Handtücher.

Thought I was getting a late booking rate, but not so. 65 a night is good value, but I would not have gone there if I knew it was close to Gatwick, as we could hear the planes overhead up to 11pm and again from 5.30am, both nights. Perhaps we were unlucky! As Sally was working the other staff let her down. First breakfast greasy food, second better. Need to like dogs! It sells as an ensuite but WC and bath situated under sloping roof. Read less

If Sally had been around more, but she had to work, I am sure we could have sorted some of the issues out.
Dislikes:
The bathroom is not good enough to be called an ensuite.
Bath and WC, which didn't flush adequately, are under a sloping roof. We were offered use of a shower in another room for first night.

so sorry you felt that way,We have been using this room for years and most people do not have a problem . Sewerage does not come back ,but does gurgle saniflos do that.I did not know you had 2 breakfasts, my husband forgot the mushrooms hardly a crime,we grill everything and do not fry Hotels give you food from a vat we do not.Obviously not the place for you. It says on our blurb 10 mins from Gatwick!!! We cannot tell planes not to land. If you book near an airport what do you expect.

This is a fantastic family run bed and breakfast. We are situated within an exclusive private estate nestling in a three and a half acre woodland garden. Our facilities are superb, offering three versatile, well presented rooms,all with great views over the garden. It offers great accomodation as well as long term car parking for travellers accessing London Gatwick airport. Gatwick is a 10 minute drive, planes do not take off between 11.30pm and 6am in Summer season. It is our family home hence why guests like our homely feel.
Outward going transport available inclusive when using this parking facility. Stay two nights and Linchens offers a stress free return transport package.,(one per stay)We take great pride in providing everything that you should need for your stay,hairdryers,toiletries,perfume,make-up removers and a plentiful courtesy tray full to brimming with different teas and coffees.
The accommodation at Linchens is also ideal as a base for exploring the area, whilst visiting relatives, or for use as a 'home from home' if you are a travelling business person. There are so - many reasons to stay here - if you are looking for a leisure break or short holiday in the Sussex area.
There are a number of local attractions near the accommodation at Linchens, including Lingfield Racecourse, only a 15 minute drive away. The motor racing at the Brands Hatch Circuit can be reached in about 45 minutes by car.
Amusement Parks within easy reach include Chessington World of Adventures and the ever popular Legoland, as well as Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey. There are Stately Homes, Castles (including Hever Castle, Dover Castle and Leeds Castle) and Gardens that are open to the public in this area.
