"Down to earth, friendly and a great bed."
Nice and easy to find in the village and as you pull into the yard to park you find it's a real, working farm.
Very casual, family atmosphere and you're asked to remove your shoes in the hallway which, being a farm, is a reasonable request. The room was huge and the en suite as well. Very clean and the usual tea, biscuits, TV etc there. Wi-fi is not too good in the village but they let you know that on arrival. Food at the local pub about 400 yards away is quite reasonable.
Super comfy bed. Read less
Likes:
Very comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Very friendly and an excellent breakfast.
Dislikes:
Taking shoes off in the house might put some people off. Poor wi-fi is a bit of a nuisance if you're there on business.

Breakfast was very pleasant, sitting around a large table with other guests. Breakfast was ample and nothing was too much for the hostess who was friendly and thoughtful.

Manor Farm, in the village of Grittleton, offers traditional farmhouse bed & breakfast accommodation close to Chippenham. Explore lively market towns, rolling open scenery, stately homes and magnificent gardens plus experiencing the bustling city culture of Swindon and Salisbury.

There are attractions galore - including iconic Stonehenge, and Avebury. Famous sites such Salisbury Cathedral, Longleat, Malmesbury, Bath, Cotswolds, Wiltshire's White Horses, Stourhead, and the Kennet & Avon Canal combine with lesser known gems such as Lacock and STEAM. Whether it's indoors or outdoors, in front of a roaring fire, walking or cycling, Wiltshire is waiting to welcome you, . again, and again.

Chippenham is the largest town in North Wiltshire. A little over an hour's journey from central London or Heathrow airport, it offers an ideal centre for relaxation in rural Wiltshire. Chippenham’s name originated in Saxon times meaning ‘River Meadow’. Its position in a crook of the River Avon has given it, through the centuries, a strategic position and power for its cloth mills. Today the river provides a peaceful backdrop to walking and cycling routes
