"Great Place in lovely situation"
It was lovely staying in the old rectory. The original features are beautiful & makes a welcome change from the modern or modernised places available today. There was loads of well cooked foods as well as fruits, cereals, yogurts & specialised teas & fruit juice available to help yourself to for breakfast. The bedroom was very warm & cosy with ensuite & toiletries. We enjoyed the use of a lovely lounge just for guests, large breakfast room overlooking the beautiful gardens & free wifi Read less

An enjoyable stay. Perfect location for exploring Lacock. Good facilities in cottage although rather compact, only one wardrobe, but plenty of drawers for storing clothes. Easy access to main roads to explore local area. Got used to the traffic going by outside and noise not too loud inside cottage. Read less

Liked that you could walk into Lacock. Good base to explore the local area from.
Dislikes:
The wet room was certainly wet after a shower! Required drying before anyone else could use the bathroom again. Advertised as sleeps upto 6 but only 4 chairs at table.
Response from The Old Rectory B&B & Rectory Cottages:
Thank you for your positive comments and I will look into equipment to make sure it is absolutely up to scratch for the next guests.

It's perfectly positioned to enjoy Lacock. Elaine is very nice and in the grounds we kept chancing on her pets - not in the house. We came across hens, cat, dogs and horse living in fine style!
Dislikes:
I would have loved softer pillows.
Response from The Old Rectory B&B & Rectory Cottages:
Thanks for letting me know about the shower head Elizabeth. Glad you had a good visit.

We stayed at the Lenton self catering cottage, which is the larger of the two. (wheeler smaller)it was quaint and adequate to our needs also disabled friendly up to a point: The Rectory is indeed a great base to stay with, Chippenham, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, a short drive away. We look forward to next year, whereby we'll stay there again: Read less
Likes:
Missy their black labrador along with her companion, a Jack Russell, also two horses, all whom warmly greeted us each day, with tail wags and neighs. This setting was most excellent for us all.
Dislikes:
The walk in wet room shower requires a disabled stool/chair, along with handles, also we were unable to push a wheelchair around the excellently kept gardens, or from our vehicle to the accommodation.
Response from The Old Rectory B&B & Rectory Cottages:
Thanks for all your lovely comments and glad you had a good holiday. Yes that was some storm with many folks in our local town flooded out. Yes I heard the story of the egg woman it was no yoke!
