Friendly hosts, excellent cat company at breakfast.
Dislikes:
If you stay in the annexe make sure you look for the window blind. We didn't find it and were on the ground floor with no window cover!

Response from The Poplars:
Glad you enjoyed your stay. There is a blackout rollerblind on the window. I thought it was strange that you had not used it on the first night so when I cleaned the room I pulled it down further over the window but you still did not see it. Sorry about that, nobody has has ever missed it before.
Regards
Maria and Kelvin

We're a small Privately Run Family bed and breakfast accommodation, located in Hurdcott, near Porton Down, Salisbury, 2 miles from the City Centre in the heart of rural Wiltshire.
Salisbury is just a quick trip away from our hotel, and offers a wide range of historic houses & monuments, such as Salisbury Cathedral and the ruins of Old Sarum, as well as an impressive array of retail outlet facilities if you wish to visit the shops.
Salisbury is located in the heart of ancient Wessex, which covers parts of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire. During a drive through the local countryside it's almost impossible not to see some ancient monuments such as Hill Forts amongst, and atop of our rolling Chalk Downs & hills.
Our bed and breakfast's facilities include en suite bedrooms with freeview TVs, Tea and Coffee facilities, hairdryers, alarm clocks and wi-fi.
We are ideally situated for Business Travellers working at the Porton Down Science Park.
Our fresh & clean bed and breakfast, which used to be a Granary and Rope Factory, is some 450 years old, with the River Bourne, one of Wiltshire's largest rivers, being only seconds away.
We're ideally situated for Country Walks across the beautiful rural Wiltshire countryside, Day Trips to Salisbury, Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Salisbury Racecourse, Wilton House, and many other attractions.
