In fact the level of hospitality was exceptionally high, with fresh tea on arrival, biscuits in the room, bathrobe and lovely toiletries. Read less

Everything! I felt totally comfortable and as a single woman travelling alone, completely secure. My main worry is that once the secret is out about this place it may be difficult to get in.

Exclusive rural bed and breakfast in striking distance of the M4 in Wiltshire.
Set in the unspoilt Wiltshire countryside, yet just minutes from the M4 and central Swindon, Overtown Manor provides the perfect retreat for our guests. Overtown Manor is a Grade II listed house in its own garden and grounds. Recently refurbished we offer the highest standard of accommodation and the warmest of welcomes.
Overtown Manor is part of a working farm set on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. We are conveniently located close to Swindon and the M4 but are fortunate to have a secluded and peaceful setting.
Percy works as a land agent and Nancy is a trained chef. Nancy has worked in the catering industry for the last 15 years cooking Directors lunches in London and Swindon, conference catering at Sheepdrove Organic farm, private dinner and drinks parties, and most recently cookery demonstrations and teaching teenagers. All our menus are based upon good local, seasonal British food.
The Manor is a family home, recently refurbished to make it a wonderfully comfortable and homely place to stay whilst maintaining its original charm. The house has a Georgian wing which Nancy and Percy live in with their family; and a Victorian wing which has been altered specifically for Bed and Breakfast guests, conferences and private parties. The house and farm have been in the owners family for over 100 years - Percy, Nancy and their children
are the fourth generation to live at Overtown.
