Nice guest lounge, kitchen and garden. Lovely pub.
Staff not tremendously helpful or friendly. I had a bike and I asked where I could put it. Only much later did one member of staff tell me
Dislikes:
there was a locked shed. Thought it was a bit cheeky that my son was given just a sausage and an egg without asking - we did pay for a double room. Bit expensive for no en-suite and small room.

"Tired and jaded B and B, unusual staff"
A very strange stay in this tired B and B. The decor is attrocious with lots of very odd artifacts littered about the place. I had booked a single en suite room, but ended up with a strange set up got to via the communal kitchen. A little room with tea and coffee making facilities together with a stocked freezer led to a living room complete with single bed, a hallway off of this room led to a very badly maintained shower room - tiles hanging off of the wall and a twin room!! Also I was not told where and when breakfast would be served, when I asked I was told it would be in the bar and when would I like it. I said 10.00 am only to be told that they stop at 9!!

Situated at the centre of the picturesque thatched village of Wootton Rivers. Wootton Rivers is located on the famous Kennet and Avon canal, near the historical market town of Marlborough.

Although The Royal Oak is a favourite with tourists visiting Wiltshire, it is still very much a local's pub and sports a games room with pub favourites pool and darts, Board games can also be found at the bar.

The Royal Oak was proud to be registered as a venue to conduct civil weddings in 1997 and have seen many people united into wedlock.

The Royal Oak dates back to the 16th century when it was a coaching inn, since then the pub has been used as a farriers yard and the village bakery. The interior of the building reflects its heritage with charm, sporting low, oak beamed ceilings and wide open log fires that are kept alight during the winter months.

Available for private functions is The Royal Oak's restaurant, which can seat up to sixty with comfort. There is also a marquee site for up to 300 people for larger parties, The Royal Oak is more than happy to cater for outside functions too.
