We wanted somewhere that would enable us to "switch off" & relax for our 1st night away without our 9 month old baby. Eckington Manor felt like a million miles away & we relaxed as soon as we pulled up & took in the grounds. Our room was spotlessly clean & immaculately presented. The bed so comfortable. The later check out of 11am ideal, we were able to have a lie in & leisurely breakfast. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday night & our 3 courses were delicious & reasonably priced. Read less

Everything! The whole experience was such a treat. It got off to a fab start when we were brought a complimentary pot of tea & biscuits after arrival. From there, it just got better.
Dislikes:
No, it was all perfect.

"It didn't feel like a Manor"
Poor location, looking out onto bamboo that screened the car park.
Very gloomy room, even in bright summer weather.
This is our dislikes, as there wasn't enough room below.

"It didn't feel like a Manor"
Poor location, looking out onto bamboo that screened the car park.
Very gloomy room, even in bright summer weather.
This is our dislikes, as there wasn't enough room below.
Very gloomy room facing bamboo that screened the car park.
The room was stuffy and impossible to ventilate.
The pillow gave me a painful neck and I had to resort to a rolled up fleece.
The bric-a-brac used for furniture was a big contrast to the Fired Earth fittings. Read less
