We booked 2 nights B&B to get away for a few days and to do some cycling around the peaks. We didn't want to stay anywhere to grand/too expensive as long as it was warm, comfortable and friendly - as we planned to be out most of the day. When we arrived at the hotel we were very very pleased with out choice. The hotel was perfect. Staff were more than helpful, the room and views were beautiful and food was very good. Read less

"disappointing."
Check in at 5pm in winter is late and left little time before leaving for supper elsewhere. On arrival, bedroom window was open and the radiator off; despite heating up , room didn't easily warm up.The duvet was thin and inadequate and I would have been v. cold without the blanket in the wardrobe. The wardrobe rail was hanging off and the free-standing convector heater had one foot fitting completely off and thus not v. safe to use.
Bedroom door does not have automatic lock. Read less

Breakfast was good though no check as to whether brown bread for toast would have been preferred.
Dislikes:
See comments above. I only stayed one night and went to stay with friends for the second night because the facilities were so disheartening.
