"Great 2 day stay"
We stayed at the hotel as a final destination in our 10 day trip to Scotland and to meet up with old friends we hadn't seen in 20 years. It was a beautiful lodge and so nice to end our stay at such a beautiful place. The owner wen tout of his way to accommodate us as a family and with the friends we were meeting. The service all around was excellent. The scenery around the lodge was beautiful and you were able to enjoy it from all the rooms in the hotel. Read less

Dalrachney Lodge is an independent family run Country House Hotel in Carrbridge in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and is approached via a tree lined riverside driveway.

We recognise how precious your relaxation and holiday time is away from home and we aim to provide a tranquil environment in which to enjoy our wonderful surroundings. We hope you will come and enjoy our Scottish hospitality with personal attention from the Proprietors at all times.

Dalrachney is a former Edwardian Hunting Lodge dating from 1845, set in 2 acre grounds within the Cairngorms National Park and rests directly beside our own stretch of the Dulnain River. Our Bistro menu features locally sourced food and a good selection of wines and whiskies. We have Egyptian cotton bed linen, Heirlooms towels and Floris toiletries.

Our Superior Super King rooms have handmade Savoir 6ft beds. We now have a Superior Super King Four Poster room and a 2 night Romantic Break package is available which includes chocolates and champagne, 3 course dinner on both nights and a bottle of our Fortnum & Mason house wine on one evening.

The property retains its original pitched pine woodwork and high corniced ceilings and new furnishings are in keeping with the character of the Lodge. In the cooler months a log fire in the delightful Drawing Room provides a warm welcome.

Carrbridge was described by Queen Victoria as "the jewel of the North". In the museum at Fochabers there is a dog cart used by King George V during his stay at Dalrachney Lodge.

Dalrachney is an ideal base for a memorable break. Enjoy breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and numerous year-round outdoor activities including walking, fishing, shooting, golfing, bird-watching, skiing and mountain biking (The Lochs and Glens Route National Cycle Network 7, one of the major Sustrans cycle routes passes through Carrbridge).
