The accommodation is immaculately presented throughout with much thought, care and attention to the finer details. The floor to ceiling glass within the open plan living space maximises its bright and airy ambience and there is under floor heating throughout ensuring a cosy welcome awaits guests regardless of the season. The lodge benefits from the convenience of being all on ground floor level and with two sumptuous bedrooms; both with king size beds and each with luxurious en suite facilities, Framlington Villa is suitable for the gathering of families and friends alike or for those couples seeking something rather special…..
A cheerful greeting regularly meets visitors to Longframlington, which boasts an award winning well stocked rural store and where there is also a butcher, coffee house and good pubs serving food all within walking distance from Framlington Villa too. Take a few minutes drive north to Thrunton Woods and enjoy a woodland walk or mountain bike ride up the craggy outcrops to be rewarded with the most spectacular views over the Cheviot Hills. The picturesque village of Rothbury found snuggled at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw hills where ramblers and cyclists admire the wild and lonely vistas is only 5 miles west and offers an array of facilities including shops, pubs and tea rooms.
Rothbury straddles the banks of the trout and salmon rich River Coquet where a licence and permit for fishing can be obtained locally and golfers will enjoy sampling the riverside 18 hole course. The 1,000 acre estate of Cragside, once home to Lord Armstrong and the first home in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity is an interesting National Trust visitor attraction close by.
The ancient market town of Morpeth offers many facilities only 10 miles south and the historic town of Alnwick, protected by its dramatic castle (the ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy) is 11 miles away.
