We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, who took the time to chat with us. The breakfasts were really really good and the bedroom and recently updated en suite were extremely clean.
Dislikes:
Unfortunately on the first night of our stay the guests in the other room were very noisy when they returned and for quite a while afterwards, but that was not the fault of the hosts.

Near by is historic Bury St Edmunds with its Cathedral, abbey remains, many churches and museums. Visit the Theatre Royal, one of the oldest and smallest theatres in the country. Bury lays claim to the smallest pub in the UK and has a brewery museum and visitor centre.

The picturesque villages of Lavenham, Long Melford and Clare with their numerous range of antique shops are all close to hand. For the racing enthusiast Newmarket the home of horseracing is only a short distance away.

A good range of local pubs serving food are abundant in this part of Suffolk. Excellent area for walking and cycling and taking in the country air.
