Pilstyes offers 2 ensuite rooms in the main house for Bed & Breakfast accommodation and the attached cottage is let as a self-catering holiday home, although occasionally this may be used for Bed & Breakfast. Our rooms are spacious, as you will see from the photos on our website, so, if you requirements dont seem to conform to what you think we have to offer, please telephone or email us to discuss it, as we can often juggle arround things and add an extra bed, etc. if needed.

Pilstyes is a Tudor village house dating back to 1575. Lindfield Historic group have recently written up a fantastic history of our house based on the deeds and leases we have (all on velum with wax seals) with the first one dating back to 1626 and describing the house as being of 50 years standing!! It would have originally been timbered house but in the 1800 it was 'gentryfied' and a the front timbers were replaced with brick which now stand on a tall sandstone plinth. The house is partly tile hung with a roof of mellow Sussex clay tiles and Horsham stone slab slates. It combines many period features such as exposed wall and ceiling oak timbers and leaded light windows to the front elevation. In the winter there is always a fire in the sitting room hearth and in the summer our garden is a delight as you will see from the photos.

Pilstyes is located at the north end of Lindfield, near Haywards Heath, West Sussex, close to many local attractions and beautiful surrounding countryside and also within easy access of Gatwick, London and Brighton.

Pilstyes is the ideal base for a number of days out in Sussex and beyond. Many famous Sussex gardens are nearby including Borde Hill Gardens, Nymans Gardens, High Beeches Gardens and Sheffield Park.
