Hotel was in need of renovation as walls were scuffed and paint/ wallpaper was peeling off . Shower stopped halfway through showering and was unable to get to start again . Bar was dingy .

"what a disaster did not stay at all"
What stay!!! we got travelled 3.5 hours to get there at the confirm check in time of 2.00pm allowing us 1 hour to get washed and changed to attend a family function, to be told as we checked in that they where double booked due to a fault with YOUR system and handed back our money in an envelope and said they could not do anything else, to say we where appalled would be an under statement so we where left to drive round the area an search for further accomadation which made us very late. Arrived at the establishment only to be informed they were overbooked. My deposit was refunded in cash and they offered to try and find me alternative accommodation. Considering i supplied my email + tel.no# when i booked several months in advance, i can't comprehend why i wasn't contacted to be advised of the potential problem. Read less

We serve excellent home cooked food, and have a good selection of local whiskeys. Nairn itself is renowned for its golf courses and blue flag beach and is ideal for families and golfers alike. Inverness airport is only 6 miles away so it is very accessable via plane or car.

Nairn is an excellent base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. Nearby is Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Inverness, Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness or enjoy the scenic splendour of the Cairngorm mountains.

If you enjoy walking there are plenty of places to explore in and around Nairn. There is, of course the beach, but that's not all.
One of the most popular walks starts from the harbour and heads west long the promenade for about 3km before turning inland to Delnies Wood and then looping back to the shore. Covering a total of 10km over fairly easy terrain, this walk includes some stunning views including an overview the town. The harbour is also the starting point for a walk along the River Nairn to Cawdor. The beautiful stretch of riverside is home to a variety of birds and wildlife and is a restful experience surrounded by trees and the sound of the water.

With two superb 18-hole courses in the town and a nine-hole one at Cawdor, Nairn is a magnet for golfers. The town was put firmly on the golfing map when, in 1999, it played host to the Walker Cup, bringing in visitors from worldwide as well as being seen in the competition's TV coverage. And with a number of other excellent courses within a short distance, Nairn is an ideal base for golfers.
