Whether here for a holiday, a romantic break or on business, or visiting friends or family, we can offer you a quiet country location whilst still being accessible to the surrounding areas. We can suggest good places to eat from fine dinning to good home made pub grub, plus an award winning Indian .

We are conveniently located close to the National Cycle Route 66.and the Yorkshire Wolds Way. For a taste of the seaside, Bridlington, Scarborough, Whitby and the surrounding coastline beaches are only a short car journey away, where you can get the best fish and chips money can buy.. Visit Hull for a great shopping experience in the newly developed Princes Quay and St Stephens. 'The Deep' for an underwater adventure,as well as finding out the history of fishing and whaling on the east coast.

Close to the Humber Bridge and surrounding area. The Yorkshire Moors are only a short distance from us with breathtaking scenery on route. Also close by are the historic towns of Beverley, Malton, and Pickering, Pocklington and of course the City of York. Castle Howard, Burton Agnes Hall, Fountains Abbey for a historical tour just some of the beautifull houses in Yorkshire.

Burnby Hall Gardens the home of the biggest hardy water lilies in Europe is an enchanting place, feed the huge fish ,explore the hidden gardens, just sit and enjoy the sunshine listen to the bands playing on a sunday. There is also Flamingo Land, Cruckley Petting Farm, Allerthorpe Water Park, Elvington Air Museum and lots more attractions for the kids.
For those wanting to do some bird watching, there is North Cave Wetlands,Blacktoft Nature reserve, as well as Bempton Cliffs and Flambrough Head.

If golf is your thing we have no less than four golf courses nearby, the KP club and Allerthorpe being the nearest,South Cave and The Oaks just a little further.

Melbourne is the home of Drag Racing, and Elvington Raceway is home to the straightliners, and ten of the best.
