"Quiet stay in modern accommodation"
We stayed for one night So we could take in the dark skies of Kielder Forest Park. Jayne and Michael were very friendly in their welcome and had booked us a meal at the local restuarant in Newcastleton, advising them we were vegetarian. We had a lovely meal there. In the end we didn’t go back to Kielder at night as planned as Michael directed us to a dark moor the other side of the village and much closer where we saw all the stars we wanted. Th Read less

Friendly hosts who provided an excellent breakfast. Nice large room and clean bathroom with an excellent shower. Beautiful garden which unfortunately owing to time we didn’t get to see properly.
Dislikes:
We thought the bed was a bit on the small side.
Response from Black Burn Lodge:
Thank you for the 5 * rated review. Our beds are as advertised standard double. Glad you enjoyed the star gazing which is magnificent at this time of the year.

The gazebo over Liddle Water is great, soul restoring. the building and grounds take great advantage of the hillside location, and the hosts are very friendly in a pleasant quiet way.
Dislikes:
No, {I just want to explain that the 4 of 5 for the room (the room was really nice) was because a creditable review can't give 5/5 for everything.} ;-)
