"Fantastic wee Country house Bed and Breakfast."
Myself and my wife spent a few nights at the Briers and we had a fantastic time. The bed and breakfast was very clean and tidy and had a very beautiful view from the bedroom window. It was refreshing to have a constant friendliness about the place in the very capable hands of Maureen and her team who were also very warm. Whatever we asked for it was catered by Maureen for example packed lunches for an excellent price. We could not fault the place and we will certainly be back again. Read less
Likes:
The people and the warm comforting bedroom and surroundings. Tullymore Forest Park is just half a mile walk along the road. The food was top class and the staff were friendly as ever.
Dislikes:
We did not have a car so taxis was our only option into Newcastle town centre and it was expensive but we feel it was worth the extra few pounds to have a really relaxing and peaceful break away.

The beautiful B&B with friendly helpful staff but the could do with updating in some areas i.e. Ensuite bathrooms
Dislikes:
No tea and coffee facilities, curtains didn't fit the window correctly letting in the light, hot tap on the bathroom sink not working correctly.
Response from The Briers:
Thank you Stephen for your review, as you will be aware from the rest of your party we have spent a considerable amount on refurbishing the whole of the downstairs of The Briers where your father & mother stayed as well as another 2 bedrooms above reception. Unfortunately all the deluxe rooms were taken on that night. But, if you come again please call me direct & I will make sure you are upgraded. I can assure you I continue to invest each year, but, can only do so much with limited resources.
