"Super Stay"
The Dabbling Duck is a really super Family run pub with great accommodation, terrific food and very friendly, helpful staff. We needed a one night stay to attend a local appointment mid morning the next day. It worked very well for us and we were very pleasantly surprised by everything; a lovely welcome, a delightful room with well appointed en-suite bathroom, an absolutely delicious evening meal and a great nights sleep followed by a wonderful breakfast. The Dabbling Duck has 9 guest bedrooms. All are tastefully decorated and furnished to high specification making the Dabbling Duck an ideal base for an unforgettable stay in one of the prettiest and unspoilt parts of Norfolk.

Three new garden doubles have just been added these are a short walk from the main house to the barns in the garden they are super-king doubles.

All rooms are en suite with bath or power shower and are equipped with flat screen TV’s, tea making facilities, hairdryers, toiletries, and soft white towels. The Adjutant's room is also pet friendly.

The communal hallway houses a well-stocked library for guests to while away the hours and a comfy leather sofa for relaxing after long country walks!

We offer very competitive rates for corporate users on request.

The Dabbling Duck pub was opened in 2006 as the result of a tireless community action group and a far-sighted local authority's 6 year campaign to prevent the beautiful old building (previously the Rose and Crown pub) from being converted into housing.

The Dabbling Duck is based in Great Massingham, one of Norfolk’s most attractive villages, and located approximately 40 miles west of Norwich and 13 miles east of King’s Lynn. It has one of the most impressive greens in the country with several large ponds (home to the dabbling ducks!), which were originally fish ponds for an 11th century Augustinian Abbey.
