My stay was just for the one night. I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel come inn close to Salisbury.
On arrival, I was greeted in a friendly manner in this quaint inn.
I enjoyed a reasonably priced meal and a couple of pints of well kept ale.
The room was adequate and the bed comfortable.
A little on the downside was that there was no mobile phone signal but wifi access was good.
I would stay again. Read less

Thank you for your review. Sorry about the mobile signal there are only a couple of network's that work out here. We are always happy to offer the house phone for calls. We hope to see you again.

"Lovely stay"
A lovely stay in this beautiful countryside property. The pub was very busy on the Friday night which we took as a good sign that it served good food and a range of drinks - we were pleased with our food and would have happily eaten again the following night had we not had a wedding to go to! Rooms are clean and simple - just what we needed for the weekend. Read less

Location was perfect for where we needed to travel to. It was nice to be able to eat breakfast and walk out the front door, straight into the countryside, for a short walk to wake us all up!

The traditionally thatched building dates back to the 18th Century. There is also a sunny garden terrace where meals can be taken
‘al-fresco’. Convenient for business, visiting local sites (Stonehenge, Salisbury plain and the Savernake forest are minutes away) or just getting away for the weekend. We offer an environment where you can eat top quality food, drink in relaxed surroundings or stay in one of our comfortable rooms.

Marlborough is situated in the UK between the towns of Hungerford and Calne on the old coaching route midway between London and Bristol. The Marlborough area is steeped in history from Neolithic times onwards and makes a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful English county of Wiltshire.

A full range of shops can be found in the town, Marlborough is a market town and market days are officially on Wednesday and Saturday although market stalls are set up in the middle of the High Street on most days.
