Likes:
Beautiful room in a refurbished barn. Just across the pub.
Dislikes:
Not enough pressure in the shower and basin. The rooms are not very well sound isolated one from the others.

Likes:
The friendly staff and good food.
Dislikes:
The room was too warm - we turned off the storage heater but it had been set too high and the night was rather sweaty - the heater should be set to 2 at all times!

"Quaint rural typical pub stay"
We were attending a family funeral, coincidentally based at this public house. The stay involved two nights, the first arriving just before 6pm after driving from the NW England 300+ miles. First impressions good, friendly reception, nice rooms. Adequate parking at front door and no problems encountered. Good pleasant evening meal at 8pm. The pub is well used by locals, pleasant company, though the actual establishment looks tired. Next day no problems at all, very well run and friendly. Read less
Likes:
It was right on site, in the village our relations live in. Very friendly staff and willing. Food was above adequate and for those that like local beer, very good. Nice open fires and dog friendly.
Dislikes:
The only criticism we could come up with was the carpets could have been hoovered better, and blown light bulbs replaced without need to ask.

With a roaring fire for cold winter nights and a picturesque secluded garden for long summer days, the Greyhound is a traditional English pub steeped in local history. Whether you're looking for a quick pint of local Sussex ale or a three course feast, accompanied by wine from our carefully chosen wine list, a warm and friendly welcome awaits you. And if you're looking for somewhere to have breakfast then come and join us on weekends from 9am to 11am.

At the Greyhound we use locally sourced produce to prepare our delicious food and you will find lots of choice, from classic British pub food, (try our home-made pies or Harveys battered cod), to a lighter bite. You are sure to be tempted by something on offer, maybe leaving room for our delicious homemade desserts.

As well as serving great food and drink, you can stay in our cosy Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the converted stables, or celebrate a special occasion in our private function room.

At the Greyhound there is always something going on, be it live music, quiz nights, the Bewl Barrel Race, or our monthly curry club. To find out more about what's happening check our news and events page.

Whether you come to eat, drink or stay, we look forward to welcoming you to our pub.
