We loved the fact that this is a working farm, you wake up to horses neying and birds singing. The accommodation was excellent. WE booked the room in the main house, but Maggie had the foresight to put us in our own cottage instead as we were staying 2 nights. This meant we had privacy and didn't worry about waking others when arriving back late at night. The breakfasts were excellent! Maggie is an amazing hostess and her relaxed manner and cheerful conversation made us feel relaxed and at home. Read less

Herons Farm is steeped in history and is of significant interest with its historical buildings, including an impressive listed octagonal barn. Secluded in the heart of the English countryside amidst manicured lawns, mysterious woodlands and enchanting grounds, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We are only a 5 minutes drive from Pangbourne station, car parking at the station is £3 per day, so a train to Reading for business or pleasure is only 10 minutes and trains run very frequently approx every half an hour.
The farm is approximately 400 acres, and has an on site riding school and equestrian centre. Ideally situated for tourism, escape weekends, B&B, sporting events and holiday leisure breaks. Whether you are looking for a holiday, an escape weekend, a short break /B&B, or the business traveller seeking a mid week home from home base you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Summertime unveils a new dimension with the heated outdoor swimming pool hidden in the walled English country garden.
Step back in time, soak up the atmosphere, enjoy some 'me time’, to ease away the tension. The secret is not travelling everyday.
