"A warm welcome to a beautiful setting."
A lovely location which is situated a short walk away from places to eat in the evening. For the adrenaline activity people (like us), Go-below activity centre was only a few minutes drive away and approximately 20 minute drive to Zip-world.
Twin room was comfortable and had what we needed: ensuite, kettle, TV, hairdryer and wifi. Read less
Likes:
Ideal location, owners were available to provide local knowledge, e.g. short-cut into the town.
Also, liked the opportunity to swim in a heated indoor swimming pool.
Dislikes:
Clean, dry towels for the second night would have been ideal.
Response from Park Hill Gwesty Bryn Parc:
Many thanks for your response. Our environmental policy is to replace towels when these are left on the floor or in the bath, or when wet. If a guest places them onto the rack, it is assumed they are okay to use a second night. Sorry this was not clear or explained to you. Of course you would have got another dry and clean set is you would have asked.
We are happy you enjoyed your stay anyway - as that's the most important thing to us.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Dislikes:
Cups were not cleaned over night, toiletries were not replaced, biscuits were old.
Response from Park Hill Gwesty Bryn Parc:
Thanks you for your comments. Oops. Something went wrong here. Our apologies for this, as you should have had fresh cups and new toiletries. Apart from this, of course we would have supplied you with this immediately if we would have known. The biscuits must have been within the best before date, but that in your case obviously did not guarantee they tasted fresh. Our apologies for that too.

OUR HOME IS YOUR CASTLE is Jaap and Ghislaine's motto. They hope you arrive as a guest and go as a friend. Park Hill/Gwesty Bryn Parc is a non-smoking guest house B&B with an indoor heated swimming pool located off road in a fine Victorian building traditionally built in the 1860s.
The house is set in an acre of lush gardens and overlooking the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed, the Llugwy and Conwy Valleys and the surrounding mountains of Snowdonia.
The best views can be enjoyed from the front facing rooms, the conservatory and from the guests' lounge.
The house's eight double/twin rooms are equipped with all modern facilities, recently redecorated and are all en-suite.
With a private parking, an indoor Swimming Pool & Sauna and free WiFi we offer 21st Century standards in a Victorian building.

Incorporated in Park Hill is an indoor heated swimming pool 30’ x 12’ x 4’6” deep, with a Jacuzzi type Spa and a Sauna. The water temperature is around 29 C (84 F) It is open exclusively to our resident guests, who can enjoy it free all day and night.
Especially after walking up or climbing Snowdon or mountain biking the Marin trail this helps to relax your muscles brilliantly.

Your car is safe: Park Hill benefits from a secluded free car park, not to be seen from any public road.
Walkers, climbers, mountain bikers and bikers are welcome and we provide a free shuttle service to the nearest railway station. Mountain bikes can be put behind lock and bar safely in a specially dedicated shed.

Centrally situated in the Snowdonia National Park there is a range of interesting activities virtually on your doorstep. The village Betws-y-Coed itself is just a six minutes gentle walk away across the Conwy Valley. The network of roads (A5 and A470) quickly brings in every direction a variety of mountains, mines and museums, castles and quarries, falls and forests, all within easy reach.
Any of the tracks going up Snowdon is within maximum 35 minutes distance by car
Environmental Statement
We use local produce as much as possible. We encourage guests to travel by public transport: we offer a free shuttle service to Betws-y-Coed railway/bus station. The maintenance of the garden is done without the use of poison. We hope to attract birds and other wildlife by creating specific habitats as e.g. uncut bracken, and by placing bird feeders. For the swimming pool we use the legal minimum amount of chemicals, and we don't use water clarifying tablets. This means that the water is slightly less clear than you might expect. However, because of this we are able to use less chlorine as well. This eventually feels better to your skin and makes the water "softer" to swim in.
