Brownber Hall is close the M6 and A66 yet is located in a tranquil rural Cumbrian setting. It is sits between the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Upper Eden Valley. We are surrounded by fells on all sides providing excellent opportunities for walking with access to the Howgill Fells direct from Brownber Hall. How to Find Us
M6 Junction 38(approx 5.2 miles)
From J38 ollow the A685 east towards Kirkby Stephen and Brough. After about 5 miles, as you reach the sign Newbiggin-on- Lune, take the turning to the left, signposted to Kelleth and Gt. Asby, into High Lane.The drive leading to Brownber Hall Country House is the third drive on the right, about 60 yards up High Lane. [Be aware that some GPS systems may try to take you further up High Lane to a bridleway – if you cross a cattle grid you have gone too far.]. Follow drive to reach Brownber Hall.
A1 Scotch Corner(approx 37 miles)
Take the A66 west from Scotch Corner to Brough. Turn south at Brough on the A685 to Kirkby Stephen. About 5 miles past Kirkby Stephen, with Newbiggin-on-Lune on your left, take the turning to the right, signposted to Kelleth and Gt. Asby, into High Lane.
