"Beautiful room, stunning breakfast and very welcoming hostess"
Stayed 2 nights in Alpine Lodge whilst away on a team/work weekend. Jean was really welcoming, my room (no 2) was beautiful and really resting. Really filling breakfast with selection of fresh fruit ready to eat and real cafetierre coffee that set me up both days. Lovely bathroom with good shower, really nice-smelliing complimentary shower gel and shampoo, big towels and a bed that was out of this world. I felt very looked after and would definitely recommend Alpine Lodge to friends/family. Read less

Alpine Lodge Guest House in Buxton is now into its fourth year and has retained the AA 4* Gold Accreditation for 2015!. Debit and credit card facilities are now available so booking could not be easier - just go to my Website. Walkers & Cyclists welcome with secured lock-up for cycle storage.

Built in the late 19th Century in the heart of Victorian Buxton, Alpine Lodge has been totally refurbished to create welcoming and luxurious bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation, situated in a tree-lined residential road within close proximity to the town centre, Buxton Opera House and the world famous Pavilion Gardens a mere 10 minutes stroll from the house. A wonderful selection of excellent quality restaurants, wine bars and traditional pubs are all within short walking distance.

A full English breakfast is on the menu using locally sourced produce wherever possible, together with lighter options of delicious smoked salmon over scrambled eggs on a toasted muffin, eggs florentine and a great selection of continental pastries served either with jams and marmalade or a selection of cheeses.

Buxton is well known for its Victorian architecture and attracts visitors from all over the world with many cultural events staged throughout the year, especially the Festival of World Cinema in March, The Buxton Fringe Festival in July and various walking and cycling activities throughout the year for the more adventurous!

The location of Alpine Lodge also makes it a superb base from which to explore the Peak District National Park and Derbyshire Dales taking in the Goyt Valley, Kinder Scout and the Manifold Valley. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park are all within easy travelling distance - local bus and train services make them all easy to visit without the need to take the car. Bakewell, Dove Dale, Castleton, Ashbourne and Matlock - to name but a few - are all close by.
