Great feel about the old building, Kate & Nathan were very helpful with recommends & directions to local restaurants/pubs. Excellent breakfast, not 'padded out' with a plate full of baked beans!

"Extremely cozy and relaxed home base for exploring the Dartmoor region."
My wife and I and our three friends stayed at Gages Mill for two nights, after a wonderful but strenuous cycling tour of Cornwall. We only had one full day in the area but would've dearly liked to have more. GMCGH was (for us) a perfect composite of B&B and small hotel. It's very comfortable and the history of the building and grounds adds to the experience. Nathan & Kate are great folks and were extremely helpful in advising us on walks on the moor. Read less

The small dining area is very cozy and a good place to hang out. Plus, any place with an honor bar that includes "Fursty Ferret" ale from Badger brewery obviously knows what they're doing!
