Sorry abou the noisy early risers Sarah. Noise made (often inadvertently) by one guest that disturbs others is a bugbear.and it affects all hotels. Sue and I stayed in a purpose built Premier where the guy next door arose at about 5am and promptly broke the shower so it locked on. It was like Niagara Falls. David and Sue

Rainbow Lodge is a highly recommended, privately run Georgian Guest House in a great location on Plymouth Hoe offering excellent value, spotlessly clean rooms and genuinely friendly service.
We are in the ideal spot for getting the very best of Plymouth. The main Shopping Area and University are just a short walk. The Theatre Royal and Plymouth Pavilions are even closer (so we often have performers and members of their audience staying with us at the same time!). The unique Barbican which we call "Fun Plymouth" is also just a few minutes’ walk away, best reached by a short stroll along the seafront to take in Plymouth Sound or by the quicker route down Citadel Road.
Although Rainbow Lodge is so close to the city, we are in a really quiet neighbourhood too, one that’s actually part of Plymouth’s main conservation area, so you get peace as well as positioning when you stay with us.
And we offer you a choice of rooms so you can choose the accommodation and price that best suits you... different types of ensuite or a keenly priced non ensuite room, bed and breakfast rates or perhaps ‘roomkey only’, so you can miss out on that breakfast, sleep in and save money too! Also continuing our commitment to improvement, we have introduced “SuperKingsize” beds in some rooms, desks (if you want to dine in or do some work) and new layouts.
Both the owners of Rainbow Lodge come from customer-focused backgrounds. So you'll find you are the centre of attention when you stay here. On arrival, the owners will usually welcome you personally and organise things just right – luggage to your room, car parked, valuable guidance and advice given if you are new to Plymouth. And you’ll find this attention to your needs is there whenever you want it throughout your stay, and all done the genuine, friendly way that only comes from people who really enjoy what they are doing.

Promote public transportTo help us achieve these goals, we ask guests to switch off all lights when they leave their room although we use eco-friendly bulbs, not to leave their TV on standby and to turn down or turn off their radiator (by turning the dial handle clockwise) when they go out. They will help us to reduce our carbon footprint even more if they close all their windows when they go out. By separating their waste and using the recycling bins and liners as directed throughout their stay, they can help us exceed our current rate of 40% recycled by volume..We can also show them how to use public transport instead of their own car or taxis whilst here.
