Spring Farm

It was built in 1865 as two hop farm cottages belonging to Guinness and subsequently converted into one house in the 1970`s, lovingly renovated and decorated, we opened in 2008. Spring Farm is set in 3 acres of gardens and meadows in an area of outstanding natural beauty located 3/4 of a mile from Bodiam Castle (N.T.) with stunning views of the East Sussex countryside. Spring farm is the perfect locatIon for a relaxing break. Take the time to unwind, stroll round the garden or sit beside the pool with a good book, a cup of coffee and a slice of homemade cake. On a hot sunny day you may like to take a dip. The swimming pool is heated during the summer.

You could even try fishing in the lake, it is teaming with fish but no real challenge for serious anglers. Spring Farm is a great base for exploring 1066 country and the south coast. We are only a short drive (around 20 mins) from either Battle, Hastings, Rye or Tenterden. There is a wealth of things to do either on a short break or a longer stay. London is less than 1.1/2 hrs away but it feels like a million miles.

We look forward to meeting you and making your stay here a pleasure. We, (Gary & Nicky) met at catering collage in Ealing and both qualified as chefs 36 years ago. After gaining experience in a number of large London hotels we transfered our talents to the licensed trade. In 27 years of running pubs we gained numerous awards, including the CAMRA local Pub of the Year a total of five times whilst at the Priory arms pub in Stockwell.

We bought Spring Farm 4 years ago and are very proud of the renovation work carried out to bring the building up to a very high standard of safety and attractiveness. Although still amateurs we hope, like us, you will find delight in the gardens which surround the house. We are especially keen on growing our own fruit, vegetables and herbs. Our next project is keeping chickens.
