Our host was very friendly and helpful, and let us know where to park our car to avoid needing to pay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We loved having cooking and washing facilities.

I actually did like the lack of check-in desk and that the place was empty of personnel most of the time. The room was small but so it goes in Europe but the use of space could not have been better.
Dislikes:
The process of getting inside and to get a key to the building were difficult for me. The email came only an hour before I arrived. I didn't have internet access and no cell phone to call.

Long weekend in Edinburgh. Location is close enough to the centre and there are plenty of buses that stop outside including the route going to the airport. Strange system where your keys are left outs… Read more

Strange system where your keys are left outside in combination boxes and you have to phone the owner for the code. Owner very helpful and let us check in a few hours early plus leave our bags after checkout. Great place to stay for the price. Read less

Clean and simple accommodation at a reasonable price. Good choice of help yourself breakfast.
Dislikes:
I did try to contact the hotel before arrival to confirm booking and that we could leave our bags before check in, however after several attempts I could not get through which was an inconvenience.
