"Very friendly and welcoming"
Stayed for two nights attending a local event. The welcome was warm and helpful, I was struggling with a swollen knee and I was given an ice pack to help, without any prompting, which was a very nice gesture. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and overall it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is about a 10 minute level walk from the town centre. Read less

Friendliness of proprietor, close proximity to town centre, excellent breakfast.
Dislikes:
Minor minus point was the very small, old TV set with remote that didn't seem to work.

"Beautiful house but terrible shower"
My sister and I spent one night here. We chose Davaar as it was where our mother was born in 1934. We asked for a twin bedded room but were given two beds pushed together with only one duvet. The room was on the top floor of the house which was fine for us but some people would have difficulty with the four flights of stairs. It would be good to note on the booking form which bedrooms were on the upper floors. Read less

Breakfast was brilliant. The hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean. It is an easy walk into central Dunfermline and Pittencrieff Park from the hotel.
Dislikes:
The shower was dreadful. It went from very hot to very cold constantly. I suggest the owners have a shower in room 7 to see how dangerous this can be.
