Chestnuts enjoys a perfect location in the village of Bourton on the Water as it is situated right in the centre, so no need to use the car,just take a stroll to see all the attractions including the Model Village, Birdland and The Motor Museum to name but 3.On arrival guests are given their own key to their room and the B&B and are encoraged to come and go at will.

Having use of a lounge where we could get together with our friends was super, as was having use of a fridge and PROPER milk, not UHT. It all helped to make us feel at home.
Dislikes:
Shower head wouldn't stay put. Sloping bedroom floor was a bit dizzying but understandable in old house. Light from Velux window (though with a blind) woke me early - I need a sleep mask!!

Chestnuts is in a perfect location in the middle of Bourton on the Water making eating out in the evenings extremely easy. We thought Bourton was a very pretty place. Read less

Lovely choice of fruit at breakfast time - we especially enjoyed the melon and pineapple. As there were not many people staying during our stay we were able to make full use of the guest lounge

Chestnuts B&B (formerly Polly Perkins) is a 300 year old listed building and is conveniently located in the very centre of the village, overlooking the village green and the River Windrush which flows through the Cotswold countryside on its journey to the Thames. Bourton on the Water is probably the most famous of all Cotswold villages and visitors come every year to sample the delights of its treasures. Its picturesque little bridges span the river, while the centuries old houses and shops,hold a wealth of character.
Step out of Chestnuts B&B and you are in the very heart of the village, within immediate reach of its many facilities. The advantages of being so central are self evident when your leisure time is at a premium.
As guests you have access at all times of the day which enables you to come and go as you please, allowing you the freedom to plan your days without time restrictions.
Bourton on the Water is the home of Brum and Birdland. There are many walks around Bourton to enjoy and a wealth of wildlife to observe. Bourton is central to the Cotswolds as a whole and everywhere worthy of merit is within easy and accessible reach of this beautiful village. We can cater for those special occasions with flowers, chocolates or champagne. We can also book meals for you and recommend places to eat.
We take pride in being able to advise guests on where to visit and what to see, depending on our guests individual needs and length of stay. We have a tremendous interest in the Cotswolds as an exciting place to live, and as a treasure trove of experiences to share.
Chestnuts has a wealth of character with it's 300 year old history made evident by it's sloping often creaky floors and large old oak beams the large Georgian windows on the first floor give excellant views of the village and river while the smaller windows on the second floor provide a rooftop birds eye views. Which ever room you choose you will be assured of a comfortable enjoyable stay.
