Cannot say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners Joanne and Chris. On our first day Chris outlined the sites worth visiting in the area and helped with driving directions. He even had guide books for perusal specific to each site in the area and maps. Guiting Power is a lovely small village that has changed little in appearance over the centuries complete with sheep, beautiful views, and friendly people. Read less

Wonderful Host, great position, lovely cottage, great stay.
Dislikes:
Couldn't have time to stay longer.
Response from The Guiting Guest House:

Ian,
Thank you most sincerely for this review. It is so encouraging to us to receive reviews such as yours, especially may I say from a Yorkshireman. If you venture South again I hope that you and your wife will come and stay again if we are on your route.
Interesting to note that although all the individual marks were 5 the summary is 1 – guess that must be software problem on the Eviivo system perhaps?
Best wishes,
Joanne and Chris.

All our guests are assured of a very warm welcome at the Guiting Guest House which is a delightful and tastefully restored 16th Century Cotswold-stone former farmhouse with modernised facilities.

Everywhere there are exposed beams with an inglenook fireplace and polished solid pine floors from the Wychwood Forest. The open fire creates a welcoming atmosphere in the colder months with a Cotwold garden in Summer.

At Guiting Guest House, some of the bedrooms have four-poster beds with en suite (adjacent) bathrooms, with the exception of one which has private facilities.

Our breakfast is varied and may include home-made bread with an accent on the freshness of local Cotswolds produce.

If you are booking within 24 hours of your arrival date, please call ahead to confirm check-in time. Between 1st May and 30th September, at weekends, check with the Guest House before making multiple bookings for 1 night.

Guiting is within very easy motoring distance of such places as Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Winchcombe, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Oxford. Just north of the village is the Cotswold Farm Park, home to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust which exists to preserve historic breeds of farm animals that might otherwise become extinct.
Environmental Statement
We try to minimise the impact to the environment, therefore unless towels are placed in the bath, it is assumed guests are happy to re-use them.
