Lansdowne Villa was an excellent hub for exploring Bourton on the Water and surrounding Cotswolds towns. It is on the High Street of the village within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Breakfast is substantial, with a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals and yogurt, in addition to a full English breakfast of bacon, sausage and eggs. The proprietor appears a bit brusque at first, but warms up after he has seen visitors a few times. He provided helpful directions to nearby towns. Read less

The room was larger than we expected and though it faced the street, it was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Offstreet parking, at a premium in Bourton, was ample.
Dislikes:
The toilets took forever to refill after flushing and were noisy. We had to close the bathroom door to avoid having to listen to the lengthy refill. Water pressure in the shower was feeble.

Lansdowne Villa is a four star rated family run guest house located within 200 metres of the centre of the pretty village of Bourton on the Water, one of the standout villages in the Cotswolds. The village has lots of attractions like the perfumery, vintage car museum, model railway, the pottery and the famous model village.
Alternatively guests may enjoy just sitting quietly on the banks of the River Windrush as it makes its way through the village. Bourton on the Water is also very convenient to Shakespeare’s birthplace at Stratford, Bleinham Palace and the Roman Baths At Bath.
The guest house has 11 rooms including a four poster bedroom and a family room. All have been recently completely refurbished to a very high standard, fully colour co-coordinated with full en-suite facilities. English breakfast is served in the relaxing atmosphere of our dining room and broadband internet access is available in our comfortable lounge.
