Arrived at at the landowners late afternoon and was greeted by Cheryle the proprietor. Offreed choice of rooms, we choose to take room 1. The only reason I gave a 4 for the room is because it was one of only two rooms that hadn't been renovated since Cheryle and her husband Anthony took over but it was very clean although decor dated. But as I stated before they are in the process of renovating the proprty and what has been done is done to a very high standard and tasteful. Read less

Both Cheryle and Anthony were approachable. Any information/maps you wanted they would only he to happy to print off for you. Breakfast was superb if it was not on the menu they would make it for you

The Lansdowne is a four star rated family run guest house located within 200 metres of the centre of the pretty village of Bourton on the Water, one of the stand out villages in the Cotswolds. The village has lots of attractions like the perfumery, vintage car museum, model railway, the pottery and the famous model village.

Alternatively guests may enjoy just sitting quietly on the banks of the River Windrush as it makes its way through the village. Bourton on the Water is also very convenient to Shakespeare’s birthplace at Stratford, Bleinheim Palace and the Roman Baths At Bath.

The guest house has 13 rooms including a four poster room and 2 singles. The rooms have recently been re furbished
All rooms have en-suite facilities, free internet access and tea & coffee making facilities. We serve an English breakfast as well as a selection of pastries, fruit & cereals.

We have ample free parking.

Check in is between 3 & 6pm and checkout is by 10am. Early and late arrivals MUST be confirmed with us directly before a booking is made.

We have limited space available to accommodate children and you need to contact us by telephone PRIOR to booking to ensure availability on your chosen dates, additional charges will apply.
