"Enjoyable short break"
We booked up very last minute and not knowing London very well, was worried about where we were staying. We soon realised that the location was fine, with all staff being exceptionally friendly and made sure there was everything we needed. We were checked in fast and shown to our room, which was very clean with good facilities. Read less

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Dislikes:
It was quite noisy outside for most of the night, which did disturb our sleep. This of course was no fault of the hotel. The hot tap in our room did not work.
Response from The Harrison:
Hi, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! Sorry about the hot water tap, the boiler needed resetting. All fine now. Hopefully see you back here next time you're in London!

Service good
Dislikes:
No hot running water

Toilet filled up slowly, could not flush for about 10 ins.

Handle came of the Shower door, for so could not use the shower the following morning.
Response from The Harrison:
We are very glad that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for pointing out the problem with the dodgy tap on the sink, the slow filling toilet and the loose shower door handle. We will resolve these issues as soon as possible and look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards Paul (Owner)

The Harrison is an independently owned freehouse, set in a quiet leafy residential street. It has been lovingly restored in keeping with the building’s Art Deco flair, to create a light and airy modern bar. Locally renowned for its food, The Harrison serves high quality modern English cuisine at a reasonable price.

The Harrison has four stylishly refurbished en-suite hotel rooms for the business or leisure traveller.

Kings Cross has undergone a massive rejuvenation in the past 10 years and now features an increasing number of attractions and cultural establishments. The London Canal Museum (7 min walk) commemorates London's waterways and new British Library (5 min walk) can be found next to St Pancras Station. On display in this iconic building are some of the world's most famous written and printed items, such as the Magna Carta (1215) and Shakespeare's First Folio.

Near The Harrison, the Foundling Museum (5 min walk) tells the story of London's first home for abandoned babies. Also the Charles Dickens House Museum is a few minutes walk away through the beautiful historic Mecklenburgh Square. The cutting-edge Gagosian Gallery (5 min walk) regularly features free exhibitions of world class modern artists such as Giacometti, Damien Hurst and Jeff Koons. The area also features a number of restaurants, bars, music venues, clubs and theatres.

To the south of The Harrison lies the attractive Bloomsbury district, famous for its literary history, leafy squares and book shops. There is also the world famous British Museum (10 min walk) which houses a huge collection of cultural treasures from around the world, including Egyptian mummies and the Elgin Marbles. Past the museum lies Tottenham Court Road (20 min walk), Soho and the West End Theatres

The pub is closed all bank holidays (18th & 21st April, 5th & 26th May and 25th Aug 2014) Sorry for any inconvenience.
