Response from The White House Guest House:
Judy would like to thank you for your kind response. So glad all the dogs enjoyed their stay with us and that the Soi Dog Foundation event was a great success. Hope we will see you all again. For other guests, this was a one-off event and all my rooms had dogs in, so I allowed dogs into the dining room this time, but I am afraid I can't do this when we have non-dog owning guests as well! However, it was a lovely time for me too and I enjoyed having you all to stay. All the best to you all

Owner gave us really useful recommendations over where to eat. Also gave my son bread to feed the ducks! Very nice dinner in Wilton Court Hotel, just across the river.
Dislikes:
Little bit of noise from the occupiers walking on the floor above in the morning, but that is forgivable since the building must be 300 years old!
Response from The White House Guest House:
Judy would like to thank you for your kind response, which is much appreciated. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in Ross-on-Wye. You have a lovely son. Thanks again for taking the time to review us. Best wishes

Within walking distance of all Ross restaurants, pubs and hotels where there is a wide choice of cuisine including Thai, Indian, Tibetan and Chinese as well as wonderful locally sourced English dishes.

The White House was built in 1720 and retains much of the original character of the building. Each room is individual, has white starched linen on the bed, ensuite bathroom or shower and thoughtful extras for our guests. We also have two 'four poster' rooms. You will be offered a hearty breakfast (either full English breakfast or vegetarian, etc.). Early breakfasts and packed lunches available by request when booking. Special dietary requirements catered for.

Winner of the Gold award for Ross-in-Bloom 2006 - 2009.

Situated in The Wye Valley which runs through parts of Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire and is an area of outstanding natural beauty forming the western border of the Royal Forest, separating England from Wales. This unique area offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities such as canoeing and fishing on what is perhaps Britain's most unspoilt major river.
Environmental Statement
We recycle most of the waste generated by our business and do try to buy local produce when possible, thus eliminating transportation emissions. We have recently installed a more fuel-efficient central heating system and monitor usage of energy. We try to eliminate as many journeys by car as possible, so try to buy in at one go when shopping outside Ross (e.g. cash and carry journeys are shared with another business locally and larger quantities are now bought at a time). We feed birds and ducks and even the dog is recycled (well, she is a rescue dog anyway! Their loss, my gain, she's an absolute sweetie!)
