Along we came, bumping down the small gravel track leading to a beautiful wooden gate with 4 charming pods located in the rear. Nothing like we were expecting. A great surprise. The pods are state of the art with all the mod cons you could want. Tv, music player, kettle etc. Tea, coffee and milk were also provided with a little mini fridge. They are excellent and beautifully made. Breakfast can be added on for a small extra and is certainly worth it. Read less

Continental, veggie or full Scottish is available. There is a small communal area between the pods in which you can make fires, eat food and socialise if you don't want to be confined to your pod.

"Fantastic accommodation, something a little different"
Weekend break in and around Aviemore. Was looking for accommodation that was close to the town centre, and am always interested in something a bit different. It was perfect for our needs for the weekend, even on a cold and snowy November weekend. I'm 6ft2" and found the pod to be a very comfortable size for the two of us to stay in. The all round design of the pods is excellent. Read less

The pods themselves were cosy and the location was fantastic.
Dislikes:
Our shower was very temperamental and resulted in a couple of cold showers. We were also a little disappointed there were no cooking facilities in the communal pod.

Eriskay is a family run guesthouse situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of the Highland town of Aviemore. Aviemore is a popular tourist destination, and with good reason. Lying in the middle of “Monarch of The Glen Country”, within the Cairngorms National Park and at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains, it offers a great range of outdoor activities.
Bird watching (notably Ospreys) climbing, hill walking, fishing, stalking, skiing, Strathspey Steam Railway, water sports (on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh) or touring around some of the most beautiful countryside in the Highlands of Scotland are just a few of the pastimes you can enjoy on your holiday.
Eriskay is also an ideal base to tour the Highlands from, with Skye, Fort William, Inverness and Loch Ness all being within easy reach. We have 3 rooms in the main house as well as 4 accommodation eco-pods in the garden. Rooms are sold on a room only basis with the option to purchase breakfast at £5.00 per head.
We are approximately 10 minutes walk from the train station and buses run from just around the corner to the ski slopes.
