"New owner working hard to make her own mark on the hotel and doing it very well indeed."
We used this as base for our Highland birdwatching trip. The hotel is great for this game with excellent birds in the grounds and within walking distance. Situated just off the A9 makes it easy to access all the major birdwatching areas easily. Kay looked after us very well and cooked a welcome traditional three course meals each night of our stay. And caterered for the needs and wants of the group.
Overall a great stay and we will be back Read less
Likes:
Kay ensured we enjoyed our time at Glenan Lodge to the point of feeding the birds so we could watch from the garden.
The food was excellent and showcased the local area.
Dislikes:
Kay needs to put her own mark on the rooms which are a bit dated. The rooms are very clean and serviced daily.

Glenan Lodge is a traditional Scottish Country Guest House ideally situated on the edge of the village of Tomatin 16 miles from the city of Inverness. The area is ideal for golf, shooting, fishing, bird-watching, hill walking, cycling, skiing or just relaxing, whether passing through or using Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation as your base.

Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation is situated just 1/2 mile off cycle route 7 which runs from Inverness to Perth. For the fly-fishing enthusiast we have a 2 mile beat on the river Findhorn available to our guests for some of the finest salmon and wild brown trout fishing in the area.

Scotland's 2nd largest malt whisky distillery is within walking distance of the Lodge and the village shop, post office and pub are only a short drive away. Many places of historical interest are also close by including Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle and, of course, Loch Ness, Skye and John O' Groats can also make a great day out as can Balmoral, the Queen's Summer residence.

Tomatin is midway between the skiing centre of Aviemore and the City of Inverness, capital of Highlands. An ideal base for exploring this most beautiful part of the UK. There is also our guesthouse residents lounge - the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the local area of Tomatin and Inverness. The guesthouse dining room is where you will be treated to a traditional breakfast and also an evening meal if you wish. There is also storage available for cycles.
