"Most welcoming stay of all our holidays"
The room and the house were really nice but the better thing was the friendliness of the host. She spent time with us in the morning looking at maps and giving very useful advices on where to go for walking (by the way she's a real expert). Excellent breakfast with, besides the more obvious Full-Scottish a gorgeous waffle- fresh home made and fruit! highly recommended. Read less

The table for breakfast was small and we were embarassed to ask for food, maybe it might be easier to have fruit salad and cereals on a different table by self service

(Note: credit cards not accepted - please call for alternatives.) Set in its own grounds, Coinachan Guest House is in a perfect location just off A82 between Fort William and Inverness on the Gairlochy road (B8004). This 18th century house, with its old byre, boasts spectacular views in every direction - the Grey Corries, Aonach Mor, Ben Nevis, Glen Spean and the Great Glen.

Take a short walk to the Commando Memorial or take the Highbridge path to Spean Bridge village, or head down to the Caledonian Canal and Great Glen Way. Fall asleep in our luxurious beds (all B&B accommodation is en-suite) and wake up to a wonderful breakfast just a bit out of the ordinary - fresh baked waffles, smoked salmon, powerhouse eggs, or grilled plate - made with the best local (and whenever possible organic) ingredients.

With advanced notice we are happy to cater hearty packed lunches.

Our three guest rooms are named for the spectacular views we have from Coinachan. Our Aonach Mor double room and Grey Corries twin room are on the lower/ground level. Upstairs our Lochy Munros room can be set up as kingsize or two twin beds. It also includes a contemporary sofa that folds out to a very comfortable queensize bed making this a family room. Rooms have Egyptian cotton towels and cotton sateen bedlinens with wonderfully light and warm duvets, and extra cashmere and alpaca blankets.
Environmental Statement
At Coinachan Guest House, we follow a strong environmental ethic and strive to apply it to all parts of our business — from our use of available locally produced and organic foods, to environmentally sensitive cleaning products, energy efficient appliances, and recycling and composting. We are committed to providing a quality experience for our guests that emphasizes the area’s rich natural and cultural heritage and that, we hope, provides them with lasting, fond memories.
