Nice room, with private patio. Great breakfast, nice hosts. The B&B is a few minutes from the busstop, so it is easy to travel in all directions of the island. Walking is also possible. Nice weather.

Likes:
Robin & Erica were excellent, friendly and welcoming hosts. Location was perfect and central for visiting all of the island. Good variety of teas and coffee, biscuits and fresh milk. Good breakfast.
Dislikes:
lots of cobwebs and spiders mostly in bathroom where there were dozens of them and many had been there for a very long time!Tiles around bath were mouldy, both of these are easily remedied so a shame
Response from Blandings:
Steve while I feel this negative commnet is rather overstated both points were correct and have now been rectified. I really appreciate it is difficult to make helpful comments when visiting someone's home but we always prefer this way of handling things as we can thank the client personally and show our appreciation. So thank you for bringing this to our attention

Blandings is set within a small group of farm buildings at Horringford Gardens just south of Arreton and was formerly the piggery and wainhouse where the farm carts were stored.

Horringford is a working farm with a farm shop on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Our farm shop is a wonderful place for fresh seasonal island vegetables and as much a place to have a free cup of coffee, a biscuit and a chat as a place to shop. You will find friendly faces and produce harvested that morning. There is a butchery counter serving a wide range of the very best Island reared meat, flour ground in the next village - in fact everything just as it should be in a Farm Shop!

Whilst keeping its rural character, Blandings offers every modern comfort. It also has its own wooden sun deck that on warm sunny days is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and plan the day ahead or relax with an evening sundowner.

There is always plenty to do. Nowhere on the Isle of Wight is more than about half an hour's drive from Arreton which is near the middle of the Island, a few miles to the south of Newport, the main town on the Island.

The cycle route from Cowes to Sandown (A23) runs through Arreton close to Blandings offering the perfect location for cyclists. Cycles and equipment are available for hire in the village and can be delivered to Blandings ready for your use.

Surrounded by trees, in a delightful rural setting with pleasant views of the surrounding downs and countryside, Blandings is registered with the local Island Tourist Board and the AA with a prestigious four diamond rating. We are also members of Wight Farm and Country Holidays. The accommodation is completely self contained with its own entrance.

SatNav Users Beware! Your SatNav may well instruct you to turn West to Stickworth Hall at the South end of Arreton. DON'T! Drive South a further 150 metres and turn East (left if you are driving towards Lake) and follow the signs for Horringford Gardens and Farm Shop.
