Stayed for one night whilst visiting my sister. Very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Rooms were spotless, decorated beautifully and had very comfortable beds. Breakfast area was laid out nicely, the breakfast was fantastic with a good selection on the cooked menu plus fruit, cereals, every condiment you could possibly want etc. We will definitely return here. Perfectly fine and clean accomodation. One of the best breakfasts I have had on the Island - good to see good quality local sausage! Traditional bordering on old fashioned. Facilities could be modernised - shower.low pressure and drainage not great. Owners friendly and welcoming and good location. A little on the pricey side given the facilities. Would happily recommend though! Read less

Thank you for your comments Philip. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We will look the water pressure and drainage issues; the room is likely to be one of the next ones to be redecorated. But I'm pleased that you feel you would recommend the Fawley.

The Fawley is ideally situated on the approach road to the beach in Shanklin, We are within 5 to 10 minutes of the town centre, train station and the Old village with its thatched cottages and tea rooms. Come and visit the Isle of Wight for a truly awe inspiring break, and make the Fawley part of the memory.

The Isle of Wight is known as The Garden Isle and it is noted for its micro climate, stunning scenery and friendly welcome. The Isle of Wight became popular in the Victorian Era, when Queen Victoria made Osborne House her home. Over half the Island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it has a network of footpaths that stretches over 500 miles so it is easy to get close to nature. Walking, cycling and riding are all attractions of the island. Alternatively, if you are looking for somewhere to be spoilt then indulge yourself in the Isle of Wight's tea rooms, fine restaurants, art galleries and historic houses.

We have a number of communal rooms for guest use on the ground floor, the comfortable elegant Dining Room, the Reception with seating and the comfortable Lounge with Flat screen TV and FreeSat channels, all rooms are available for our guests to use when not enjoying the delights of the Island.

Please note that we do not accept children under 5 years old. Our maximum age for the bunk beds in the family room is 12 years. Our family room CANNOT be booked by groups of 4 adults - it is only suitable for two adults sharing a double bed and 2 children aged up to 12 years.
