We choose the Victoria Mount Guest House becuase of the reviews, and we were not dissappointed. The welcome was very warm, the room, extremelely comfortable, I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. We spent two nights in a home from home, with the luxury of having a wonderful breakfast cooked for us freshly by the owners. The house over looks the sea and is well worth the steps up to the front door. Read less

The friendly welcome, the standard of accomodation was as good as a four star hotel, the breakfast was first class and extremely generous, even for those with a very hearty appetite.

Ventnor is a sun trapped bay sheltered by high cliffs and St Boniface Downs into which the Victorian terraced town is built. Ventnor has a great variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and activities. Ventnor offers idyllic countryside walks, unrivalled views from the top of St Boniface Downs across to Brighton to the east and Portland Bill in the west.
Ventnor bay offers a sheltered beach with golden sands away from the prevailing winds. A short walk along the coastal cliff path to the west will bring you to the world famous Ventnor. Botanic Gardens where our micro climate ensures that the rare plants flourish. To the east of the bay there is a level walk along the sea wall to Bonchurch and the Luccombe landslip (which is an area of outstanding natural beauty).
Steeped in history with 60 miles of stunning unspoilt scenery and a wealth of attractions, the Isle of Wight has something for everyone. From historic sites to natural delights, music festivals and major national events, it is a unique holiday destination.
