"Delightful overnight stay"
We booked a last-minute, overnight stay in the cottage as we were going to be in the area. My partner and I, two young children and a dog arrived late afternoon and headed off the next morning after a wonderful full English breakfast. The cottage was beautiful, exceptionally clean and nicely furnished and decorated. It was a real treat to be able to order a cooked breakfast, despite being in a self-catering cottage. We wished we could have stayed much longer. Read less

"Wonderful Stay in Cosy, Character Cottage in the Stunning Countryside beneath Pendleton Hill"
Very pleased with our accommodation. A group of 3, we were lucky enough to be upgraded from the Studio Cottage to the Blacksmiths Cottage by the very kind owners Moira and Kate.
The unusual and historical cottage is warm, comfortable and tastefully furnished to suit the age of building. My daughter described the Cottage as a 'Harry Potter House', certainly well suited to the rather eerie tales of witchcraft the Pendle area is famous for! Booked full English breakfast - best we've ever had! Read less

If you would like to stay in luxurious rural accommodation only a mile from the M65 but set in glorious countryside then Dam Head Farm is the place for you.

In the village of Roughlee, Dam Head is an ideal spot for tourists to Pendle including walkers and cyclists but also for local businesses looking to accommodate visiting personnel. We cater for individuals and groups in a range of accommodation from ‘boutique’ style B&B – in the grade 11 listed Dam Head Barn – to the luxurious 2 bedroomed Blacksmith’s Cottage. In addition we now offer the Garden Studio – a double room with bathroom ensuite and a kitchenette for those who prefer some independence.

Dam Head Barn is a 400 year old, listed barn, which has been converted with integrity and a love of old buildings by the owners. The barn is attached to the original farmhouse of Dam Head Farm, and is set in open gardens. Our rooms all have their own 'front door' so guests have freedom of access at all times of day or night.

Blacksmith’s Cottage offers the best in self-contained accommodation. Split over two floors this rural gem is full of exposed beams and wonderful character. On the ground floor is a beautifully appointed lounge with log burner and fully fitted dining kitchen. A solid oak staircase leads to a gallery landing with two double rooms sharing one bathroom with walk in shower.

We can accommodate 10-16 people and also have a purpose built cycle store, BBQ facilities and extensive gardens to relax and enjoy.

Our location speaks for itself -Roughlee, sits at the foot of the majestic Pendle Hill, within the Forest of Bowland area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). Roughlee is a magnet for walkers and cyclist and tourists fascinated by the Lancashire Witches. Shopping, eating houses, mill shops and shopping outlets are found in abundance in local towns and over the hill to the lovely market town of Clitheroe.
