The location was right for exploring this beautiful area by foot and by car. It's also close to busy small towns like Coalville and the charming Ashby de la Zouch. The guesthouse itself has a truly unique character and a long history. Best of all... the hostess. Ann Thorne is a good cook, an adventurer on the seas. This place was fun indoors and outdoors. Oh, and a decanter of sherry in the bedroom. Read less
