I was somewhat disconcerted to receive an email the day before our stay, to the effect that we wouldn't actually be at The priory, but at an "annex" 23-25 Grant Street, about 200 meters away at the far end of a street neighbouring on The priory. I telephoned, and was told that this was, in fact, superior accommodation to that booked. The room was large enough for our needs, and the en-suite and other facilities were as described. Read less

Parking seemed easier than it would have been at The priory. A beautifully cooked and presented banquet of a breakfast was offered. Our landlady was friendly and vivacious - obviously a hard worker.
Dislikes:
Renovations were in progress, and there was a smell of paint. Minor issues were lack of a plug for the hand basin, making it hard to wet one's face without splashing over the edge of the basin.
