We stayed two nights at Clarin Guest House and it was exactly what we had hoped for. The room (we had the double en-suite) was nicely furnished and very clean. Most of all, out hosts were extremely helpful with information on how to navigate the city and sights. It's a nice location with a quick bus ride into city center. Read less

The location was convenient to the main sights and our hosts were very helpful in orienting us. Breakfast was lovely and filling. The room was clean and very nicely decorated.
Dislikes:
Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have one of those tiny soaps for the shower and a hair dryer. The bed was rather hard for me, but my husband didn't complain.

I went to Edinburgh for the weekend with a couple of my friends. We are all students, and are used to living on a budget--however, we decided to spend a bit more and treat ourselves to a weekend at a bed and breakfast (the Clarin) that had been recommended to us by a friend. It was, in short, an excellent choice! We started each day with a delicious and filling Scottish breakfast, and ended them in our spotless and comfortable accomodations.
