"Ideal Bed & Breakfast"
My husband and I were excited to travel to Chepstow specifically to see Tintern Abbey. We stayed two nights at the Tintern Old Rectory, and everything was perfect. The accommodation was lovely--huge, comfy bed, and warm, cozy room. The breakfast was excellent. I tried different fish dishes, and my husband got the Welsh breakfast; everything was delicious and filling. Our hosts were knowledgable and gave us excellent advice on where to go and what to see. We loved the location. Both the room and food exceeded our expectations. Our favorite part of our stay were the hosts' wonderful dogs! They were so sweet, well-behaved, and hypoallergenic.

Best breakfast in any accommodation or hotel or restaurant I've been to, sounds like a tall claim but it is true. We used to have small dinners just so we could enjoy the amazing breakfasts!

"Lovely valley, difficult parking and luggage haul"
Our last stop on the way to Heathrow for flight home. The main road to Tintern was completely blocked. We called for help and were given sketchy directions that took us on single track lanes. The car park is across the road, which is heavily traveled during the day. The B&B is up a fairly steep driveway and the rooms are up a narrow staircase. Porting luggage is a problem. Beds are comfortable. Room and bath were very clean. Read less

Clean room, comfortable bed. We weren't able to stay for breakfast as we had to leave very early.
Dislikes:
I had to leave my luggage in the car as porting it across the road, up the driveway, and the narrow staircase would have been impossible. Notification about the road closure would have been helpful.
