Location good,Room wondeful and breakfast excellent.Everywhere was lovely and clean and the staff were really friendly. After one morning of breakfast they remembered our preferences.

we are a young couple who brought our 10 year old daughter to great yarmouth for fun at the pleasure park and seaside. the hotel location was ideal, rooms were adequate and my daughter loved the fact she had a little room to her own. breakfast in the morning was great and the waitress offered my picky daughter an alternative breakfast when she couldn't manage a fry up, which was good. bar area with large tv felt very homely. i would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting great yarmouth Read less

location was ideal, breakfast was great and the hotel was very clean. iron and iron board is available. staff were friendly and we felt very welcome.
Dislikes:
the only thing i can really think of was lack of parking however their is plenty of parking nearby on the side roads.

We are pleased that these guests enjoyed their stay with us and thank them for their comments. We ahve on street parking opposite the hotel which is more than adequate except for Bank Holidays and July and August when we have more day trippers. However is parking is a problem and we know then we have a secure car park remotely to the rear which we can give guests the lock number to gain access.

Sally and Tony offer a warm welcome to guests old and new. The Southern once a Merchant's House with it's wide impressive carved staircase, overlooks private grounds and is situated in a quiet position but just a stroll from the seafront, Wellington Pier, Leisure Centre, Pleasure Beach and new Outer Harbour.
As experienced hoteliers, Sally & Tony carried out a complete refurbishment when they purchased the property 7 years ago and are continually redecorating to keep it in the best of decorative order. In 2008 some rooms have been upgraded to “ Premier rooms” which have crisp,white cotton sheets, individually chosen bed linen, a mini fridge and flat screen Freeview TV, including a kingsize Four Poster.
The Southern has full central heating and we are open all year for your convenience and we have free Wireless internet access. We are 4 star graded and are pleased to announce that we have been awarded 5 Stars under the new Environmental Health “ Food Safety Star Award” scheme. This assures you of high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and attention to detail whether you are on holiday or business.
The sunny licensed bar/lounge area has entertainment in the high season for customers enjoyment. Plentiful home cooked food is served in the comfortable dining rooms complete with waitress service, with a separate table for each room and a choice of Bed & Breakfast & Bed Breakfast & evening dinner options.
All the bedrooms have en-suite shower facilities and are furnished to a high standard with guest’s comfort in mind. Each bedroom has a remote colour TV, clock radio and complementary tea/coffee making facilities.
Evening Meal is available, as everything is freshly prepared daily we require your menu by lunchtime
Great Yarmouth is well known for its maritime heritage as our museums will show. The city of Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are just a short ride away. As a family run accommodation we do not accept single sex groups or Stag and Hen parties
