"Two nights at Number 17"
Two night first-time visit to Norwich. Initial motivation was to visit the wonderful exhibition of John Berger drawing at Mandell's Gallery, a short walk from Number 17. However, I discovered many other interesting sites, walks and things to do in Norwich, all of which made the stay delightful. Great, scenic small city, particularly the fascinating outdoor market area! Enjoyed the walk along the river-side path and several lovey restaurants just steps from the front door of Number 17. Found the location accessible, safe and the quiet. I was impressed by the unusual court-yard outside the room, an the pear-vine. That was my favorite view to wake up to in the morning. Great location!
Dislikes:
Lovely spot if you are a visitor who does not require bells and whistles in an accommodation to have a good nights sleep and to enjoy a hearty breakfast!

It was clean, friendly and close to the venue we were attending
Dislikes:
Slightly more expensive than what we usually pay in city hotels etc but for the odd night it's acceptable due to the reasons already stated.

"Luxury in the back garden"
It's the second time I've stayed with my son - on this occasion because he was graduating from UEA - in one of the family rooms at the bottom of the garden of number 17 = a Tardis like space which appears very modest from the outside, but opens into a double height room with a mezzanine and a large excellent bathroom, as splendidly appointed as any luxury hotel room. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and very good quality. Number 17 is not cheap, but it is very good indeed Read less

Our central Norwich guest house has 8 rooms (two for families) and accommodates up to 19 people. We are just a short walk away from the Cathedral, the city centre, the railway station and the bus station making it extremely convenient.
This recently renovated listed building offers visitors contemporary, spacious rooms with en-suite bathroom facilities, solid oak flooring, an open fire and a relaxing atmosphere. The courtyard provides a sanctuary to enjoy breakfast outside or to savour the warm summer evenings. Additionally the property offers detached family suites.
Breakfast is freshly prepared for our guests on a daily basis, offering a selection of piping hot tea or coffee, cereals, seasonal fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and a full English breakfast cooked to order.
The two family suites are located in a contemporary styled converted barn, which is unusual for a Bed and Breakfast in Norwich. Each family suite, has two rooms (1 king size and 2 single beds) and a luxury bathroom, with both bath and separate shower. The rooms also include free wi-fi internet access, satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer.
We won't compromise our standards. Whether your stay in our guest house is for business or pleasure there will always be a clean, comfortable room, a hearty breakfast and above all a very warm welcome from Jim and Glynis Clark at number 17.
